Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 or 3 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil . We will trek with a local English speaking guide , a local cook and mules to carry our luggage. It’s a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top.
After breakfast, embark on a trek from Marrakech to Imlil (1740m). Guided by experienced locals, hike through Berber villages to Sidi Chamharouch shrine, then ascend to the refuge (3207m). Enjoy dinner and either camp or stay in the refuge. The next morning, start early for the summit, taking breaks for refreshments and stunning views before descending back to Imlil.
After your breakfast in your hotel in Marrakech you will be picked up around 9:00 am. then one and half huor drive to Imlil (1740m) where our trek will start. Here we will meet the Local experienced guide and Berber muleteer crew will take you on a walk through the Berber villages through the Holy shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2500m) to reach the mountain hut. Here you will stop for a picnic lunch. After enjoying the lunch and having a short break, we will continue towards the refuge (3207 m). A welcome mint tea will be served for you there, Hot shower will be available to wash off. The dust from your body and freshen up for the next day. Moroccan meal will be prepared for dinner in the evening a traditional. So,during summer months, there is to spend over night in tent and enjoy moments, under of the sky.
today you start early morning to escape from the full power of the Sun. After early Breakfast We will begin the ascent climb In the mornig the middle of our climb we will stop . For a short break with some refreshments – water, oranges and nuts. After walking uphill for some 3-4 hours, we will be able to enjoy a picturesque view of all the High Atlas Mountains than will have a break of 30/40 minutes to enjoy the magnificent view before back down to the refuge , where you will have lunch. To get back to Imlil you will follow the same route back down the Imlil/Marrakech 8/9 hours walk.
